Silly Bands
So, my son comes home with a bunch with a bunch of rubber bands that he is wearing as bracelets. "Dad, these things are so cool" he says. I was unimpressed. "Dad, look... they change shapes! See, this one is the letter G...you know.... for GABE!" Still, I was unimpressed. "Ac tually, Gabe, they are silicone, and if they make you happy, I am glad for you. Enjoy."
Now, I see all the kids wearing them. They trade them. They lay them out and look at all the differnt animals, letters, numbers, and other "Silly Band" shapes. They are silly and silicone. They are stretchy and yet have a memory of thier original shape. They are cheap, but making someone a great profit. What will they think of next?!!!
Anyway, this got me to thinking.
Am I flexible? If I get stretched or stressed out, do I return to my "original" shape when the stretching is over? How resillient am I?
I am learing a lesson from Silly Bands this week. Maybe you can too.
