Band of Brothers
We're in this thing together...
The Band of Brothers is a men's group that was formed with the goal of providing a forum for men thoroughout our community to fellowship and grow stronger together in their spiritual walk. In addition to social events, ministry projects, fundraising events and educational seminars, we hold monthly meetings (usually the third Thursday of each month) on a rotating basis between the Fairpoint Campus and the Soundside Campus. BAND OF BROTHERS UPDATES
The first Band of Brothers business meeting was held on March 16th. As a reminder, the 2010 BoB officers and committee members are:
President - Chris Collins
Vice President - Rod Hurston
Treasurer - Kurt Overlade
Corresponding Secretary - Bill Dorsey
Fundraising Committee - Joe Damario
Event Committee - David Leslie
Business Advisory Committee - John Carruth and Scott Sallis
As decided at our January meeting, we have donated 50% of our current BoB Ministry account balance (donation of $216.33) to UMCOR for the relief efforts in Haiti.
We have reserved rooms for our monthly meetings for the remainder of 2010. All meetings at the Fairpoint Campus will be on the second floor of the Youth Building and all meetings at the Soundside Campus will be in room# 2201 - on the second floor of that facility.
Here are the dates currently scheduled for the rest of the year for the Band of Brothers monthly meetings:
July 22 - Fairpoint
August 19 - Soundside
September 23 - Fairpoint
October 21 - Soundside
November 18 - Fairpoint
December - No Meeting
We are working hard to develop new ideas for social events, ministry opportunities, educational seminars, fundraising and other areas of interest for the men of our church and community. We solicit your input in all of these areas.
